SLEEK MATTE ME LIP CREAM REVIEW

Sleek Matte Me line is not new in the market. Actually it's been out for over a years now. But if you've been my reader for awhile now, you'll probably knew that I don't try products that are fresh, new and trendy. So YES! Finally I'm trying these babies. *Drum rolls*

To be honest, these matte lip creams are the first products I ever tried from the brand. Just like other matte liquid lipsticks, it promises to glides on to a matte finish and stays through out the day.

I decided to buy two colors 'Bittersweet and Fired up'. To begin with, I don't have a very dry lips, my only problem is that I have a visible lines on my lips. It is weird that's why I don't sport super matte lipsticks because it will just emphasize my lines. So let's see if these babies works on me.

Love it or hate it? Read on.

It is light weight and elegant. The packaging is made of clear plastic square tube with a matte black cap. The applicator is similar to mostly other liquid lipsticks.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS ON THE SLEEK MATTE ME LIP CREAM IN THE SHADE BITTERSWEET

I am a sucker for mauve and nude lip colors that's why I thought that this shade will perfectly fit me. The shade from the tube is far from the shade applied on my lips. Since usually pinks tends to change color once applied on my lips so I'm not surprise at all.

I've been wearing it for 3 consecutive days now. And so far I like it. The application was so easy. It glides smoothly on my lips. The color pay off is awesome. I wore it around 10am until 7pm the same day. It didn't dry out my lips which  is something I struggle with in a matte lipsticks. And mind you, I was highly impressed the way it stayed on all day. No retouch needed.
.

It survived through water and meals. It is transfer and smudge proof. Whenever I wear matte lipstick, I make sure to apply a lip balm before applying on my lips. A lot of matte lipstick can be very drying and flaky the longer it stays on the lips, but this one didn't flake on me.

NEXT UP...

FIRST IMPRESSIONS ON THE SLEEK MATTE ME LIP CREAM IN THE SHADE     FIRED UP

I wanted to try something a little out of my comfort zone this time around. Reds are just something I don't regularly wear on my lips. And this is how 'Fired Up' looks on me.

This shade is very pigmented. It is a dark sexy true red and I'm glad I got it. Very stunning indeed. This is a sophisticated kind of red.

It dries so fast so you have to be quick in applying it on your lips. It is lightweight. I don't even feel I am wearing a matte lipstick. Feels like a powder-like finish on my lips. The only downside of this shade is that it is flaky on the inner corners of my lips and the shade become uneven when I try to build up the color. But it totally made my teeth look ultra white.

MY FINAL THOUGHTS

It's a kind of a love-hate relationship for me. I like both of them. I like the shades and how pigmented they are. The fact that it is a smudge proof, removal is a struggle. You must have an oil based makeup remover for any easy removal. And YES I so love the both shades. I will continue using both of these lip creams.
